Foster 85-72 Waterbased Contact Bond Adhesive

Foster® 85-72™ Waterbased Contact Bond Adhesive is a high tack, rapid setting water-based adhesive designed for bonding low and medium density fibrous glass (up to 6#/cu. ft.) and polystyrene, urethane or polyimide foam insulations to painted or unpainted steel, galvanized or aluminum surfaces.

Features:

• No asphalt.
• Synthetic elastomer emulsion, it is extremely fire resistive when dry. 
• Can either be used as a contact adhesive, being applied to both surfaces, or applied to one surface only and wet bonded. 
• Higher immediate bond strengths are obtainable when used as a contact adhesive. 
• The dry film stays flexible and moisture resistant.
• No asbestos, lead, mercury or mercury compounds.

WATERBASED CONTACT BOND ADHESIVE meets the requirements of military specification MIL-A-3316C (Class 2, Grade A), under interim approval, pending specification revision. WATERBASED CONTACT BOND ADHESIVE meets the requirements of military specification MIL-A-24179A, Type I, except for the 2 hour low temperature bond strength test.
