High Temp Silica Cloth

High Temp Silica Fabrics are ideal cloths that are used in demanding temperature applications throughout industrial insulation market. They are easy to fabricate and remains flexible after high temperature exposure and provides excellent protection from molten metal splash. Silica fabrics have many uses ranging from welding to metal cutting applications. Another use for these fabrics is in the creation of removalble insulation blankets.

Silica fabrics are a flexible fabric especially developed to replace asbestos fabric in welding and stress relieving applications where protection against heat or molten metal is necessary.

• Base material meets Military Spec MIL-Y-1140 and MIL-I-24244.
• Style 84 is used where special protection is required from welding sparks when fire and light burning is required.
• Style 188 is used where more durability is needed during heavy burning or stress relieving.
• These products are also available as rope, sleeving, woven tape and slit tape.
